Jane Lunnon
I’m lucky enough to be the Head of Alleyn’s School (a marvellous, historic, co-educational school in South East London). I’ve only been running the school for a term (and most of that was in a lockdown!), so I’m still in the exciting phase of discovering lots of marvels there and thinking through how I can best work with and lead its extremely impressive staff! Before that, I was equally fortunate to run Wimbledon High School, a dynamic, buzzing girls’ school, in South London. I truly believe that leading a school (and being responsible for the education and character development of thousands of young people) is the greatest privilege and the most fun, satisfying job around. (It can also be one of the most challenging! And I’m profoundly grateful for the phenomenal example and inspiration of the leaders on this forum. It’s been a joy to share our experiences and ideas.
